Modern Steel and Glass Home Rises In The Forest
With a footprint that covers parts of the landscape least occupied by trees, the house features a series of black steel-enclosed volumes connected by glassy passageways that overlook exterior gardens.
Though a bit gloomy and cold on the outside, the inside of the house is surprisingly warm and cozy, thanks to plenty of pale wood covering found on the walls, floors, and cabinetry. Whitewashed wood all over the place can get to be a bit much, but the decor here really helps soften and enliven the space. Leather, rattan, homey textiles—it’s all there.
