Cool Design: Stunning Concrete Home In The Woods
Bordered by tall pine trees, Marino House embodies the argument that the built environment can and should complement its natural surroundings—not fight against it. A two-story structure composed of dramatic concrete slabs, it is designed by ATV arquitectos in the Pinamar woods south of Buenos Aires. Combining striated wood and unfinished concrete, the house’s texture helps it blend in harmoniously with its forested site. An observation deck in the front, patio on one side, a series of capacious doors and windows that open up the interior significantly, and a treeline that runs closely around the periphery cumulatively create an effect that the forest defines the boundary of this gorgeous man-made dwelling.
