Cool Design: Steel Cubes Make For Impressive Addition To Simple Brick Home
Montreal-based architect’s practice NatureHumaine has created a cubic extension to an outdated home while retaining its original structure and presence. Summarized as a cubic construction, the Bic V Angl home now incorporates two new wood and steel volumes juxtaposed against the design’s existing coated brick space. Presented as an “L-shape” solution to the consumer’s needs, the home features a new kitchen and bedroom setup with an intriguing junction present at the three boxes’ intersection that allows natural light to flood in due to the its double height volumes.
