The ‘Picasso’ of Millenials and Former Victoria’s Secret Model Drop $12 Mill on Harrison Ford’s Home
Recode published an extensive profile of Snapchat founder and CEO Evan Spiegel on Monday. Oddly, several sources who interviewed for the story casually — and apparently independently — compared him to the great 20th Century experimental painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso.
The comparison stems less from his skill with a brush or chisel than his ability to create world-changing products. As the author notes, Snapchat evolved in four years from being the butt of sexting jokes to a space for the president of the United States to promote healthcare policy.
Well Spiegel, 25, is putting his money to use buy a $12 million LA pad with his model girlfriend Miranda Kerr, 33.
A year after their relationship started to heat up, TMZ is reporting the couple’s first big purchase together.
The seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom pad they’ll inhabit has a storied past: It was designed by iconic California architect Gerard Colcord.
It has prior celeb credentials, too: In 1983, Harrison Ford purchased the 7,100-square-foot estate for $1 million, then in 2012 put it on the market for $8.3 million.
