Luxe Listing of the Day: BCBG’s Max Azria LA Mansion Hits The Market
The Wall Street Journal reports that fashion designer Max Azria has re-listed the home with a more than three percent increase, raising the price to $88 million.
Alla Furman and Branden and Rayni Williams of Hilton & Hyland have the listing.
The 30,000-square-foot home certainly is one-of-a-kind; the two-story entryway features a floor-to-ceiling “waterfall chandelier” made from 150,000 crystals; a home theater with a candy and popcorn bar; an office with a domed gold-leaf ceiling; a pool and a Moroccan-themed pool house with a sauna, spa and fireplace; a tennis court with a viewing box; two greenhouses (one has been converted into a gym); and a garden with an outdoor fireplace.
Max Azria is the founder, chairman and CEO of BCBG Max Azria group, the major fashion house that owns BCBG Max Azria (among other brands). He and his wife purchased the home in 2005, spent $30 million renovating it.
