‘American Horror Story’ Mansion Available on Airbnb If You Dare
Want to have a terrifying sleepover with 16 guests (presumably “The House on Haunted Hill” style)? Good, because the Rosenheim Mansion, better known as the “Murder House” in the first season of “American Horror Story,” is now available to rent on Airbnb, starting at $1,450 per night.
Last March, the mansion sold for $3.2 million to Angela Oakenfold (ex-wife of electronica star Paul Oakenfold), after coming on and off the market for several years. An Airbnb user named Angela has now listed the house, located at 1120 Westchester Place in Los Angeles, and it already has a review.
“The house was fantastic: Full of history and carrying her scars and scratches from a long and eventful life with pride,” the Airbnb reviewer wrote. “Beds, blankets and linens were top class, kitchen well equipped and our party of five made good use of it, both for relaxation and as an alternative meeting place with colleagues from Hollywood. If you are looking for something soulful, and do not expect everything to be brand new and shiny, this place is it.”
The house has appeared in other shows including “The X-Files,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “The Twilight Zone.” [Variety] –Christopher Cameron
